"A DIAMOND LEGACY" AT BUTLER MEMORIAL PC
All are invited to attend a banquet to honor the life, works, and contributions of the late Reverend Pickens A. Patterson, Sr. Through his thirty-two years as the pastor at BMPC, created "A Diamond Legacy", growing the congregation in leaps and bounds and spearheading the construction of the current church building. This event is part of Butler's 2010 Capitol Campaign. The Keynote Speaker will be the Honorable Leah Ward Sears, the first woman and youngest person to become a Georgia Supreme Court Justice. The banquet is Saturday, March 6th at 7:00 PM at the Savannah Marriott on the Riverfront. "SALT SHAKERS" IS STARTING AT FPC BRUNSWICK.
Salt Shakers is for everyone. This group consists of 8 - 10 people who will gather for dinner at a host's home on the 4th Friday of February, March, and April, with everyone bringing a dish to share. It’s a great time for fellowship and getting to know each other better! For more information, call 912-265-3400.

A MULTI-CHURCH YOUTH PARTY. WHAT A GREAT IDEA!
Youth from St. Simons PC, Henry Memorial PC, FPC Waycross and others will gather together for a great time of games, fellowship, and fun this Saturday, January 23, at St. Simons PC.

JANUARY IS HEALTHY WEIGHT MONTH AT HMPC.
In the coming months, Henry Memorial PC’s Diaconate Care Team has planned a church-wide activity to help promote fellowship and fitness. They are promoting a Lenten program called “Walk to Jerusalem” which encourages walking, riding or running the number of miles from Dublin to Jerusalem. They encourage everyone to participate in their own way so they can become faithfully fit!

FPC ST. MARYS IS GETTING CREATIVE.
First Presbyterian in St. Marys is doing some interestings things to get children and their parents involved.
One of the most fun things at FPC each fall is BIG MESSY ART! Have you ever painted with a mop or broom? They do! This annual program is held in the fall and followed up in the spring with additional opportunities for little hands to be CREATIVE. Children and parents both are encouraged to sign up. In Spring 2010 they will have a real potter come with a potter's wheel and demonstrate for everyone how to make pottery. They also have a new Adult Gathering on Sunday Mornings called “Holy Grounds Cafe”. Parents drop off their kids for Sunday School and then follow their nose to the coffee! There they join other parents for lively conversation and fellowship during Sunday School.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING.
Many of our churches participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring, a movement that is transforming Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest youth-led weekend of giving and serving. Churches can positively impact their communities by collecting money or food on or near Super Bowl weekend, and 100% of the collections are donated directly to the charity of each group's choice.
