Application Process

To be considered for Savannah Presbytery’s Commissioned Pastor / Trained Ruling Elder Program, all three parts of the application process must be completed. Because each part is completed by a different person or representative, please review the instructions below and make sure all three forms are submitted.

Part I – Applicant Application Completed and submitted by the applicant.
Part II – Sessional Recommendation or Presbytery Approval Completed and submitted by an authorized Session or Presbytery representative, as applicable.
Part III – Pastor’s Statement Completed and submitted by the applicant’s pastor or, if the applicant’s church is without a pastor, the Presbytery-appointed Moderator of Session.

Your application will not be considered complete or processed until all three required forms have been received.

STATEMENT OF CONSENT I hereby apply for admission to the Commissioned Pastor/ Trained Ruling Elder Program of Savannah Presbytery. If accepted, I hereby commit myself to participating fully in the preparation assignments to the best of my ability. I understand that successful completion of training (i.e. School of the Laity) is necessary before I can be considered for commissioning as a Commissioned Pastor or Trained Ruling Elder in the Savannah Presbytery. I agree to submit to the oversight of the Savannah Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry in preparation and the approval of the Committee on Ministry when a commission is determined to be in order.
