Missions

• Are one of two purposes for being the church
• To worship God
• To carry out the work of God’s kingdom
• Are not a box to be checked off on an annual checklist
• Involve all our God-given assets: time, talents, and resources (including facility)
• No longer an examination of what we can afford to share with others, but the building of relationships with our neighbors
• Has dual goal of meeting immediate need and working to change the cause for the need
• Can often best be accomplished by collaboration or support of existing missions/projects in the community
• Aren’t dependent on the size of the church
